OBBOTEC offers a unique solution for recycling plastic waste mixed with biomass. Our OBBOTEC-HydroCat technology converts mixed waste streams into a (partly biogenic) fuel. Our solids refinery is a sustainable alternative to waste incineration.

With HydroCat technology we produce (partly biogenic) fuel from residual waste, which replaces fossil raw materials. Our in-house hydrogenation technology ensures that we supply high-quality green fuel that is immediately marketable.

At HydroCat we specifically focus on waste flows containing biomaterials and plastics. Incineration of this waste causes CO_{2 emissions and produces a limited energy yield, with the material being lost.}
